9 years in the trenches

Yes, it is our anniversary.  It has been nine years.  It was pretty anti-climactic as Sam had to work all day, I had to work all day, and I am on a restricted diet for the next two weeks.  We decided that we would hold off on the celebration activities until I can eat normal again.  We all know that Sam's and I's relationship is based on eating.

We, also, all know that the  three greatest accomplishments that come from our marriage are two fiery  girls and one sweet boy.  At some point in the evening we told the kids it was our anniversary.  They were so excited and sweet.  They cleaned my kitchen for my present (or tried, until they broke a $60 bottle, details later) Then they declared and prepared a special family home evening with presents.





Pictured are our gifts.  A despicable me movie gift card.  This was given to Cariña for a birthday present years ago in Provo from a friend.   She told us that it is not hers anymore, but now ours.  There is a couple of dollars left on it.  Apples for me because of my diet and a small bag of m&am for Sam.  These were tucked away in the cupboard, and last but not least, a dollar they found by the computer.

Can you ask for anything sweeter?  I think not!
