We finally made it out. My mother kept asking if we needed any help, but I couldn't ask her to do anything because of all the things and all the favors I would need her to do after we left. I don't even want to know of all the things I forgot to pack, all the things I didn't clean and anything else I would need to do, but couldn't, after we left.
In the end we got everything we needed, or thought we needed, into 8 checked luggages and 6 carry ons, and 6 personal items. It seemed like so much luggage and I was worried. But we made it! There was only one piece of luggage that was lost. If it was any piece that we could do without, it was mine. It just had all my clothes. Okay so I did need the suitcase, but at least I didn't have a kid crying to me about the suitcase and then have an excuse to complain about the move. I am especially grateful it wasn't a certain 14yr old. Not going to name any names. :)
The only hiccup was my (again it was me) carry-on was hand searched because of a group of unknown balls. Oh wait it was just my cadbury mini eggs! I had to bring at least one bag!
