To Eat Turkey or not, that is the question!

We were lucky enough to have an early, with as many family members as could come, thanksgiving dinner before we left.  It was so fun to see everyone.  I didn't feel a need to have another thanksgiving dinner, but thought I would pose it to my little family anyway.  Hands down no one wanted turkey, (like I would have made a turkey dinner anyway!) but we thought we would have a nice dinner together.  C. was the first one with an idea, so that is what we went with, Spaghetti! (The kids were so happy not to have any beans and rice for a day.)

I didn't have all my spices, but it worked out.  I don't know how often we will have salad.  I had to wash it with our drinking water. I don't want to use that much drinking water too often.  Also C said the ranch tasted too different.  I guess that is good that they don't need to waste their health on ranch here.

We are missing a couple of people in the picture.  Z. really wanted to take the picture and poor H. was really sick.  Actually everyone was a little under the weather that day.  I wasn't sure if I was even going to make dinner.  

Actually Thanksgiving Thursday was not a good day for us.  Our water ran out.  No water would come out of the tap.  It was not good because H. was puking.  A couple of other kids also needed to go to the bathroom frequently, (if you know what I mean), and we couldn't flush the toilet.  S. went to go and talk to the people in charge of the place we are staying at.  They mostly fixed it but the water pressure was still very low.  So on Friday they worked on it again and Saturday they did something so that it would never happen again.  The worst part about it was s. was looking up online why the water would go out and he started explaining why their water supply is not safe to drink.  My stomach was already not feeling well and him talking about the bacteria infested water supply was not making me feel any better, which is why I washed my salad in drinking water!!!

In the end it was a good dinner.  We topped off dinner with a tres leches cake!  We even had left overs Friday like a regular thanksgiving meal too.  H. was so happy!
